Natural living comfort in tropic climate

A family in Indonesia wants to build a hout amidst theit palm nursery. By physical and psychological means the design makes the tropic climate bearable.

A heavy massive roof reduces the solar irradiation to a minimum. Concrete and stone provide cool and clean surfaces. The raising of the living floor and the layout of the walls jet the surrounding air movement and create internal circulation. The subdued clean spa atmosphere with the water basin takes away the uneasiness from sweating.
