Nature, countryside and technology in balance

The design of Culturebridge Architects won the architectural competition of the  forestry district of the state Niedersachsen in Germany:

The Wildlife Park Neuhaus, which is an attraction for visitors in the natural preserve of Solling-Vogler, receives a new multifunctional visitor´s centre. The "Wildparkhaus" contains a spacious foyer with a large exhibition, a seminar room, offices and a restaurant.
The attractive building is built in most modern timber technology and represents a model of sustainability and energy efficiency.
The design concept, however, refuses to display "technical fashions". The main goal of our design is a timeless elegance and well-usable spaces which ideally present the themes of the Wildlife Park, the natural preserve and the landscape of the Weserbergland.
Modern elegance is combined with a beautiful view into nature. By combination of different treated wooden and plain white surfaces, the modern high-performance material timber is also perceivable in its sensual dimension.
